Showroom Display

For a distributor of cabinet and architectural hardware with over 70 locations, we contracted to design a free-standing display with functioning examples of their sliding-door hardware systems. 


Modular design is the approach we take when creating a display program that needs to be scalable.  Construction in this example consists of a sturdy aluminum frame containing product demonstration modules. The key factor of this design is matching parameters for all display modules so they can be installed in any reusable framework.

Co-Planer Sliding Doors
The upper module demonstrates a co-planer mechanism where each door can pass over the other in both directions.

Retracting Door
The right side shows a single door that opens and retracts into the cabinet with a soft-close motion.
